Istanbul Day 1- Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofiya

Bath 2 day trip
|
|
Summary of our 2 day journey..
Day 1
AM flight from Belfast Intl Airport to Bristol Airport. From airport took the shuttle bus to Bristol Temple Mead Train Stn. From there head straight to Oldfield Park Stn. Met up with Milah and brought to her house. We had the living room to ourselves so very2 comfortable.Thanks Milah, we love you!
Walked to the City Centre to meet Peah at the Bath Spa train Stn. Perfomed our Zuhr n Asr prayers at the Bath Islamic centre before heading to the town area.
and off course taking lots of pictures is a must for any Malaysian..with Bath stunning architecture as the b/ground..many of the locations/buildings in Bath were used as film sets for various famous period drama/movies
There is this shop call San Fransisco Fudge Factory which sells different kind of fudges inc toffee and choc flavoured ones..they even have their own website, check it out http://www.sanfranciscofudge.co.uk/ they look so good but they taste even better!
Anne is an avid fan of Jane Austen u see...and Bath is famous for the town where the writer grew up..so we visited Jane Austen's memorial house..called the Jane Austen centre..sth happened to Anne while we were there..it has sth to do with stairs, Anne's legs and the word fall..hahaha
the rest of the day were spent sight seeing around Bath
that night we watched the final of X factor
Day 2
Shop a little..then dine at this Morrocan restaurant..u can eat a buffet for only 6.95 pounds per person ..
Later that night took the flight home to Belfast, landed safely around 10.30 pm
Overall it was a great weekend getaway!

Came back from London on sat morning to attend Rachel Yew and Vincent Khoo' s wedding at the Belfast Castle followed by the reception at Water Margin restaurant in the evening..

Trip to Cardiff
|

Went to Cardiff to meet up with Ayah's ex-supervisor and to visit places where we used to frequent 14 years ago. Ayah did his masters in Gerontology at the Cardiff university in 1993 (back then University of south wales, if im not mistaken) while we the children studied at the local school and Mak stayed at home. My bro n I attended Severn Rd school. I remembered class started at 9 am and finishes around 3.30pm with 3 breaks in between, two short 30 mins break and another about an hour long break to eat ur lunch, mine would usually be sandwich telur. One of my good friend back then was Hanis Syazwani Kamaruddin whose dad was doing PHD in architecture. He later became MSD's director. Met him once during a gathering at the Belfast MSC in first year.Sometime around spring, I along with a group of friends painted a mural on a piece of large wooden board that was to be hung outside, near the playground. I remembered painting a pair of roosters sitting inside a giant hot air ballon. It was a hit among my friends..... )))))) was hoping to see it again, but i knew it wont last 14 years.
It was nice to be back again..

Graduation

So ive finally graduated ...witnessed by my own parents -ayah , mak and my brother..Nak ucap berbanyak -banyak terima kasih kpd Mak, Ayah,adik beradik, saudaramara, kwan2 esp housemates, kakak2 and adik2 di Belfast yg selama ni banyak berdoa, menolong, beri nasihat & motivasi kpd kami sebatch...syukur alhamdulillah 5 tahun di medical school berakhir dgn kejayaan..
